Quality professors : USC, most teachers kay kasagaran mga kuyaw ug record, bisan pa dili PhD or MA.Originally Posted by eXstAsSy
Education : Dako ang kalainan mao lisud itandi. Ngano man, ang core values kay different. Ngano na pud, kay pari nagdala sa USC then ang silliman are Protestant.
Campus Facilities : For allied health sciences, nindot sila kay they have their own hospital. Also for music, nalupigan na ang USC since the time nga wala na nag-offer ang USC. But the rest, biyaan na ang silliman.
Pero bisan pa man unsa ka maayo ang eskwelahan then w jud ayo ang estudyante... School wont matter.
^i aagree with ur lst statement...
para nako..
i heard a lot of praises about siliman...
ilang nursing for example...then nindot jd daw didto...
kung sa USC pud...
as far as i know...
ang specialty daw sa USC kay
ACCOUNTANCY(i agree with that kay accountancy student ko then taas jd standards ang USC..we have a cut off grade of 2.0...then karon nga second year nako..we have three accounting subjects meaning kanang tulo...2.0 tanan kailangann ang grades ana...then we have this CEL2 thing that we have to tke para maka proceed ka third, fourth and fifth year..)...
LAW..basta daghan nag ingon nindot law sa USC..naa sad sa lain forums...they suggested that USC is the best Law school outside manila...
CHEMICAL ENGINEERING...dunno what reason...taga main man ko..basta apil daw..heheh...
dili man second ang Silliman compared to UP Diliman sa over all.
ang Nursing, Silliman ang record holder for no.1 for pila ka years... now they're no. 2. Diliman is currently #1 in nursing.(paabot napod sa end year results sa board xams to tally the school standings)*they do have this hall of fame: katong mga top notchers...so the feared wall of shame applies to all nursing students here...wa dyud ganahan ma una dire.hehehe
pero, mas dako pag building ang CBA sa siliman compared sa nursing.hehehe
recognized man pud ang accauntancy sa silliman...center of excellece man pod ni dire kuyog sa nursing.
*naa dyud rivalry between nursing and CBA in silliman.
grabe lang dyud ang cut-throat sa nursing and accountancy...notorious pod ni sila kay they take out almost 60% of class...taas dyud ug standards...must maintain of 2.75 in all major subjects...4 ang highest.
*akong lalabs silimanian...kasabot dyud ko sa iyang ka kapoi.hehehe
I don't think so. He's far by one of the best sa USC, not only sa physics, but whole of USC faculty as well. Ang yawa nga mga teachers kay kanang pirmi sure pass. Mopasar pero ang mga estudyante wa gyu'y nakat-onan.yawa kaayo si tan sa physics sa USC.. hehe.. mao ra..![]()
I've tried Mario Tan and unfortunately, nahagbong ko. But it really didn't matter, maski hagbong ko, daghan gyud ko nakat-onan niya. I'm even thankful nga naunder ko niya.
USC is known in the entire country to have a very good program in sciences, courses like phsycis, chemistry and biology.
usc law is the best law school outside manila. second or third only after ateneo and san beda.
other strongpoints: chemical engineering, accountancy and pharmacy.
if u want to take up nursing, no doubt siliman is the best option.
mao jud... wa jud na siya challenge... try mayo bai...Originally Posted by yokam
just wanna share my two cents in the topic.. it really depends in what course you would wanna compare two prestigious universities.. I am an USC alumna and with regard to the course(BS Pharmacy) that I took, I believe USC is the best in the Visayas and Mindanao. As for campuses, I've been to SU and their campus is really nice... hats off.. but then again USC is upgrading their buildings as of today they have 3 new buildings.
It's not really the school... its more on how much students learn from the schools. I'd prefer a hard working/dedicated person from a middle ranked school over a slacker from ivy league schools.
Yeah thats one thing to consider.Originally Posted by vipvip68
