really? sige man ko duwa pero wa man ko disconnect.. i haven't had any probs with connection to servers.. well except for the high latency experienced.. yelled at some PLDT people.. not i've lower latencies after they switched me to another port.

morag isolated cases raning PLDT and GLOBE nga sigi problem, a lot of users reported smooth gameplay and a lot also lag problems.. in other words both companies cannot provide a stable connection to ALL their subscribers

There's also one internet cafe here downtown that has PLDT DSL, and their players in Ragnarok experience LAG most of the time, and they only have around 30 machines. It only goes to prove that it's not because its Globe or PLDT.
it was based on experience. What internet cafe?. I'm also an internet cafe owner. Before, our connection was only dial-up since no DSL available in our area. We dedicated our service purely on online gaming since our connection was dial-up. I choose Infocom as our ISP co'z they were telling me that Level-Up stick with PLDT line, which is true as seen on their banner "Best played in PLDT MyDsl, Vibe". Last month, Globelines offer DSL service(at last) in our area so I hurriedly apply for that service. When it happens, I really noticed that too much lag we are experiencing inspite of the fast internet. So I called up the Marketing Manager(I think he is) of Globe DSL that online gaming is too slow and he admitted that it's not only me who is complaining about that issue but he promise me that Globe will negotiate with the Level-Up people about that soon.. Yesterday, I was surprised that he call me up and bring good news that they already negotiated and add more additional dedicated bandwidth for Globe since they don't expect that more users are already using globe dsl...(same day I commented about globe) Now, it's ok and I'm really satisfied for their service and I'm very happy.. So I'm convincing anyone to try Globe DSL.

actually depende na sa imo account plan/subscription type.
Ang 384kbps nila cg down most of the time especially Saturdays kay cg sila fine tune. Mang hambog sila sa speed but if mo gamit ka ug bandwidth/speed tester then you'll see that it's very slooowwww. Mas paspas pa among PLDT before. Nag mahay gani mi. Hinoon mas cheaper ang globe. The same account type ha, Business plan.

Budget wise, globe. But if you want a more reliable connection PLDT jud. And according to Globe techs, fiber optics na daw ila and mas advance ang technology. That's true. Ang PLDT was just updating their lines starting 2001/2002, I think. The funny thing about advance ilang technology kay ang ilang tech guys are not that knowlegeable of communications and computers. What I mean is that walay very good background. Only the guys sa Manila ang nakabalo. Simply because dili sila mga ECE/ComEng graduates. Do you think they'll learn just by 1 week training? Sila mismo nag sulti nko that they're not fully qualified but they're doin' their best. And yes they're learned kay bacn ma out of job.

Based on experience, sa among network before(6 PCs) with PLDT, every pc has kazaa/imesh and still ok among browsing but there are times nga slow jud. We downloaded movies and MP3s. Pero karon, only one naay bearshare and still very slow. Of course faster sa 56 kbps nga modem but hey this is DSL.

So for home use, ok ra ang globe. But for business, PLDT.
