honestly, i would love to think that Muslims could be as open-minded as you in words, in thoughts and in deeds.


I was watching al-Jazeera a week ago, and a deluge of reports came about mosque-bombings by Muslims themselves against their rival Muslim groups! This happened in Iraq.
(I would say that this also happened to Christians a few centuries ago -- but at least they have overcome the violence part.)


How would Allah react to this?
If this event generates bad press even among Muslims, how do you think would outsiders react?


no need to answer, but my point is, there is really so much violence going on to merit prejudice against the innocents.
Sadly, because of this, it is the innocents who has to do a lot of housecleaning to regain the trust of the world and other people.

There are just a few things to remember in times like these:
These horrendous acts have no place in Islam.
Obviously this doesn't please God.
These attackers are using religion as an excuse and are misguided.
Muslims aren't Muslims unless they're practicing. The moment one does something evil, they're not being Muslim.
People are ready to accept false info about Islam coz Islam seems strange..they don't know anything about it. I certainly thought it was strange during my pre-Muslim days.

I know what Islam really is so I say everyday ALHAMDULILLAH that I'm Muslim.

I think the issue here is with the radical mosques -- ALLEDGEDLY supported by Saudi Arabia, which in turn radicalized these men and turned violent towards others. One thing I heard at a commentator on AL-Jazeera, the other group attacked the other because "they are not Muslim enough", or just practicing a different form of Islam.

It is no secret that the Quran has been used by radicals as their reference... wether or not they have the authentic interpretations.

Do you then think that there might be some things that need to be changed within Islam to avoid committing these violence?
