Share lang nako ha. 3 years ago, we invested the same amount both sa UITF and ALFM sa BPI. Latest statement nga nadawat namo, ang interest sa ALFM investment namo is already almost 50% sa among gi invest while ang sa UITF, it's just less than 10%. We did not add nor withdrew from them, gipasagdan lang namo. Because of this, we're now planning to withdraw some of our UITF funds and transfer it to ALFM. Based sa iyang 5 years history, ALFM is going up and we were advised by our fund Manager nga okey ra ang dagan sa ALFM.

what kind of UITF did you invest in... bond fund or equity fund?
if sa bond fund, the growth will be conservative because it is not invested in stocks.

sa bond fund and we planned on a long term investment when we started it. But it's almost 4 years pero hinay man ang saka sa interest, that's why we decided nga idugang na lang namo sa ALFM

Aside from shifting it to ALFM, try daw tan-aw ang performance sa equity fund sa UITF.

so can we assume na imo ALFM is the balanced fund or ALFM Growth Fund while your UITF is Bond Fund?
If so, you are comparing apple to orange...totally different investment objectives

there are different funds for every investment objective.
there are funds for short term, low risk but minimal gains,
there are also funds for long term, very risky but big potential gains.

it is not recommended to put all investments in one fund alone because normally you have different needs for short term and long term.
for short term investment, you place your money here for your summer vacation, tuition, christmas party expenses, etc.
for long term, this is where you invest for your future retirement use or excess money that you want to invest to get maximum potential growth.
