You are a boss of a big computer company.

There's only one available employee slot.

In your hands, you hold two datasheets.

On your left hand, Someone who graduated from Comsci which is a 4 year course.

He/She is skilled in programming languages like C, C++, Html, Java and all the other programming software out there.

On your right hand, Someone who graduated from Computer Engineering which is a 5 year course.

He/She is skilled in programming languages like C,C++, Html, Java, etc and also skilled in Hardware.

So you think, Would the Computer Science graduate be better in software since he only specializes in Software?

You ask them both to make a program.

The result will be probably be the same but the program made by the Computer Engineer is cleaner and more easier to understand since He/She also knows about Hardware.

So, in your honest opinion. Who would you choose?

or let's say their programs are exactly the same.

You would still probably pick the Computer Engineer since He/She can also work on things Hardware related.
Nah klaro kaayo studyante pa ni.

as what the other poster said, experience, projects made, achievements, communication skills, attitude, etc. matters..

IT uses computer programs to solve real world problems, ComSci creates these computer programs. At least that's what I was told
In the end, magdepend ni sa curriculum sa school. Usually magoverlap ni sila.

Since you like to play around with computer applications then I suggest you take up IT.

And by the way, comparing CompEng and CompSci is like comparing Embedded Systems and Web Applications (which in fact it is lol).
