    According to the 1987 Constitution

Article VI, Section 22, par. 3
Charitable institutions, churches and personages or convents appurtenant thereto, mosques, non-profit cemeteries, and all lands, buildings, and improvements, actually, directly, and exclusively used for religious, charitable, or educational purposes shall be exempt from taxation.
and also on the 1935 Constitution

Article VI, Section 22, par. 3
Cemeteries, churches, and parsonages or convents appurtenant thereto, and all lands, buildings, and improvements used exclusively for religious, charitable, or educational purposes shall be exempt from taxation.
as much as i hate for not taxing this institution, it would be hard to change the consitution... and afaik the church would certainly go against it, probably one of the reason why they are so against in Cha-Cha...

we all know that most religious organization are very rich... too bad our govt cant touch them... this one the reason why our politicians have to dance with the wolf for them to get their support some are dying to get their blessings...

its very ironic and sad that the remnant of spanish colonialization still exists even today.. Damaso still exists!!!

lahi akoa views aning tex exempt..

para nko ok ra na for major religions.. kay its a Govt. way of sharing
love and charity to the public..
bonus nalang kay for the good of the public man pod gamiton ang ma save nila..

ang naka daut sa present situation kay daghan mga protestant churches..
daghan naghimo gagmatoy na religious organizations..
daghan aning mga gagmay nga religioin..bogus ug pangkwarta..mao na angay butangan
    tax..

so since dili naman ma kontrol kung kinsa dapat paboran..
tanan nalang naay tax...pero lowered lang!
    para fair!

pero after we change our constitution not now
bir is doing a yellow move!bias na!

Actually, it is not the religious organizations themselves that are tax-exempted but their properties that are “actually, directly and exclusively used for religious, charitable or educational purposes.” And you are saying that those smaller fishes are the ones who do bogus money making scheme. Look as a whole. Big fishes had been getting huge amount of income for many years yet they are still tagged as non-profit organizations.

Learning the best way to keep away from a tax audit has everything to do with preparation and playing by the rules. Thankfully, a lot of people aren't audited if their numbers are near the norms for other filers within their tax bracket.

mas nindot mo huwat ta kung e audit ba gyud or dili, lisod pod mag una una then chikading ra diay

pero dapat dili kay kung ingon ana pa, dugay ra unta gi audit ang simbahan sa katoliko

Buhat man gani ug CHED si Pres. Marcos para lang maka likay sa mga katoliko nga eskwelahan
