watch this movie in 3d...awesome!
Salida na ni sa Cebu?
pagkabati-a naman lang jud aning salidaha...very common storyline and expected and ending.. .
watched this movie last saturday and i enjoyed it.
i also find the martian dog cute.
but i don't like the battleships murag kiningkoy kau ang porma.
I think it will do good, I doubt people will really care about Taylor Kitsch's controversy. It was marketed very well plus it's the only major release this week (the other one is Moneyball but that film is a tough sell here).
some points about this movie;
The Tars Tarkas were the most interesting characters in the film and it feels like watching Star Wars with all the sub-storyline involving them. I thought their Gladiator-like challenge was fun but it was comical at the end since it’s not even that important which I later figured out why it ended that way (audience alike had a good laugh involving these green Martians.) Nevertheless, I think they are the characters to watch for, as the rest seemed a bit forgettable. Of course, Taylor Kitsch (John Carter) is definitely a one charming hero in the film and thought he delivered the best performance but his lines totally failed him. He and Lyn Collins (Princess of Helium) have great chemistry though, so that should be a bit of a plus to consider.
The movie's opening in America is not so big (not even #1) but it succeeded in other markets raking over $70 million. For the weekend, John Carter made over $101 million worldwide. I think it is a safe bet that the film will gross $500 globally just to break even with its budget.
I prefer sa IMAX sa SM, I've watched this movie last saturday, yes it did have a common storyline but not that bad at all. I think dili kaayo ni mo matter if you watch in 3D or not if we are to compare the effects with Avatar. Lingaw rapud tong ilang mga dog na kusog mo dagan, cute pud kung gamay pa. =)
Aside from Taylor Kish playing the role as Gambit in Wolverine, he also plays the character "Tim Riggins" in Friday Night Lights TV series, for me he both play a funny and serious role.
