Nothing is wrong with OWWA - it is Land Bank who is choking the process with their standard lending rules that should not be thoroughly and rigidly for the OFW's. If they insist on procedures I told Land Bank, that they should inform all OFW's to go to MBA school or get a PhD to get a loan. Land Bank's way of processing for the OFW is like that of a business man loan. What is worse, is that my assets is more than enough for the loan. Commercial Banks wouldn't mind those little petty things and issues like viability as long as you have collateral. These are playing smart guys. Besides half of the money that Land Bank is using will come from OWWA. OWWA money is OUR MONEY. This is what pisses me off...

If there are OFW loan applicants out there, let's go to LandBank..at agreed time and day...then we go to the ombudsman, then we email chain to president aquino...and Land Bank CEO - Gilda Pico..no action we get other OFW's around the world to see our cause...We can be more than just Lapu-lapu of Mactan..we shall do it smart..through our fingertips...

we cannot allow incompetence and ignorance to prevail over our future - if we do what we always did we will get what we always got...If we accept this decline/rejection from government-institutions that is suppose to support the economic program of the country and not argue-fight-protest- with our privledges envisioned by the president we will be on the losing end always..

    1. In front of us is the tool to break down corruption. We just need to use this smartly. Jose Rizal said, the pen is mightier than the sword, I say to him now, the laptop is mightier than the atomic bomb. We just need to know how to use it effectively and efficiently. I am using my desperate situation now as a test case of how to get things done and get President Aquino to act on my case expediently. If I can get this process done then we can come up with a procedure to effectively establish and correct snags/malfunction/in-efficiency and productivity in the Philippines. I have sent an email to President Aquino through his website, perhaps readers here can advise how to turn this into an email brigade to get my test-case to his immediate attention. I need to get the President to know that his OFW-reintegration program in Cebu is not moving. My loan application-project proposal was rejected after I clashed with the "evaluators" after I forced the issue and protested the 5 months delay in processing. As an OFW - I hinged my life and future on that promise and program of President Aquino because I believe I have a revolutionary product that will someday change the Philippines. My project proposal took years of research and development and because not being able to pass the "credit parameters" was rejected. If such a project proposal carefully thought of and developed through years can be rejected if you protest on the delay and all the run-around submittals, how much more others also on the queue. This is a test case of how to feedback to the president and get things corrected. We are professionals and do it the professional way, if I were a Policeman, I would have also used my gun. We do not need violence to get the attention of the President. How to get this to the President - Please help me.

Please read carefully, so as OFW's you are well aware of your rights and priveledges and that what you can expect from the Government. Ignorance leads to chaos and frustrations and annimosity among us and are the favorites of spin-doctors out to confuse and divide the people.

sir esoy, i think your project is good. i'll try to make the DIY aquaphonics in my own backyard this year. anyways, onT, i think OWWA has yet to sign a guaranty agreement (for their half) with LBP and DBP which is why LBP can not yet make a release. as to the loan being collateral free, LBP & DBP, must secure loans, imo. more so because they will be using people's (OFW and non-OFW) money. unless OWWA will guarantee the whole loan...

Whatever they(Land Bank and OWWA) do administratively is up to them - check the website of landbank on re-integration of OFW's or OWWA. From the point of view of an OFW - it is a priveledge and there are procedures that is provided by Law https://www.landbank.com/assets/downloads/9485.pdf on how these government agencies should implement so that the OFW's are protected from incompetence, mismanagement and ignorance.

so until now nobody from istoryans ofw's availed such privileges from the said agencies, who can at least prove to us that indeed 2M worth ready to lend to millions of ofw's isn't just another scent of a perfumes the government trying to sell?

heard about it from one of the public forum i was attending couple of months back, a resource person from owwa mentioning about it. from what i understand it has similar system as PAG-IBIG even its interest rates are the same correct me if i'm wrong. owwa cebu personally speaking is very accommodating especially mam ______, i forgot her name who always wears big smile on her face. i don't have transaction to them ever since but in my personal view and the way she delivered her speech, quite convincing that their office is indeed designed to serve the public.

Everyone has goodness and kindness in themselves, but efficiency and productivity is something people "the boss" of PNoy have to demand. Smiley's are not acceptable when lives and futures are at stake. This is now the opportune time to test Pnoy if we are indeed his "Boss" and not just a mere slogan. PNoy is always smiling and smiles can be deceptive..
