naana man tingay ta aning intellectual power.. I think what we need to improve is our values. If our leaders learn Honest to Goodness governance...murag naay gamayng paglaum ning nasura. As a community...I think kuwang tag participation for social welfare..ija ija aho aho ra kau ta...ang mga datu, magpaka datu ug maau while ang mga pobre, tagsa ra kaayoy molingi. Kung naa lang untay bill nga mo regulate sa ka datuon sa usa ka tawo..kanang up to a maximum limit of assets then all excesses will be deposited to a funding institution where its function is to create and sustain livelihood for the less fortunate...by doing so..dili makapalabig padatu ang usa ka filipino and greed will be neutralized since theres only enough room for riches.. well distributed sad ang goods and fairness will run across the country and to all walks of life. Im not sure if this messages fits the thread since its asking for suggestion to improve intellectual power, but by implied goal..it is to improve our way of life. Kind of extremely out of the box, but if I were a fair president and I have no intentions of owning all the riches..Id do this. Kinsa tong mo oppose..pasabot lang nga greedy.

Parents should always answer the whats and whys their little kids ask and they should inspire their children to be curious.

Kasagaran man gud sa mga ginikanan kapoyan motubag sa mga pangutana sa mga batang gagmay labina kun balik-balikon na og pangutana. Yes they can be annoying sometime, but trust me, these little kids learn really fast. My daughter learned the common fruits and animals before her 2nd birthday.

    what you mean is IQ,
to improve your IQ then you have to start reading, studying, learning
    watch movies,
    read books,
    surf,
    be curious
    experiment
there are many ways to learn you just have to keep digging and digging instead of just settling for mediocrity

if you are still a student, you have to borrow books from the library so that as you level up you can adjust yourself from books
it all starts with simple books: fiction
    then you it becomes thicker
    then more comprehensive

i started from michelle, sweet valley to nancy drew and sweet valley high to inspirational books, then non fiction then history books, joke book,s a lot of IQ books, and you have to read everyday, you have to set time on reading. Make sure you like what you read so that you can retain it. In college, you'll end up settling for books of your course and if you are not fund of reading, you will end up sleeping. Yeah. The fonts are so small, not enough illustrations and some books are so hard to understand. One example is Black's Medsurge.... tsk tsk

People nowadays are on the net so the tendency is they wasted too much time on stupid and unimportant things.

Passion is always the key to a better learning.

If you want to learn then study.
If you don't want to study then stop dreaming on becoming intelligent.

and another thing, what is IQ if your EQ is very low....
attitude, personality, character.. IQ and EQ together defines who you are.

maam theres so many intelligent people with high IQ'S that just ended up working in banks and alot of street smart kids, high school drop outs have made their way to the top. eg kerry packer, one of australia's richest person, his a high school drop out because his dyslectic (having impaired ability to comprehend written words usually associated with a neurologic disorder), not everything has to be based upon in books and what you read, its the life out there thats what matter most. alot of people are living in dreamland they think that everything has to be about what you have read, to what i have observed to most of these intelligent kids esp the chinese (the parents are very pushy for their kids to excel academically) is that the kid is very academically smart but doesnt have common sense (cant handle to socialize or mingle with the other kids)why?because they have spent most of their time reading books.

alot of successful people nowadays arent intelligent at all but they've got common sense which most people dont have.

so what are you suggesting? that reading books is not the answer?
    so what's your idea?
if you can have a better idea then i will accept it

The brain behaves somewhat like a muscle, if you exercise it regularly it will perform better. Also learning can be fun, just choose a topic which genuinely inspires you and you will gain knowledge so much faster.

Stick to English as much a possible as English is widely acknowledged as being the most descriptive and versatile language in the world. Think creatively and don't be afraid to ask why. If you don't understand something initially it may not be your fault as the explanation may be unspecific or require prior knowledge on your part.

The internet can be an invaluable resource and many obscure questions may be answered with a click of the mouse. You are living in the information age, make the most of it.
