Well some statements here say that it is no longer just in Asia but in the world so as a response I kinda posted about the PH rates over the world but also in Asia, we are not the highest. It's state there.

And aren't Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Hongkong not in Asia?

@leonell - if your basing the PH electric bill by looking at Cebu local rates then you got everything wrong. the PH actual electric rate by average, we surpassed Japan (note: Japan used to be highest since it also imports oil and and huge chuck of its electricity is from nuclear plants which has a very high maintenace cost).

our rates going up is also very normal since we literally import if not close to 100% of our power needs, and the power sector isn't state managed its been privitized and business is business, we pay the price for our governments inability to manage.
