OT gamay lang... this reminds me of the issue before where PAGASA forecasted nga naay bagyo so classes and offices were suspended. diay to anang adlawa, taas kau ang adlaw, uga kau ang yuta. pwerteng suko-a ni mayor tomas ato. lol!

I think PAGASA is being extra careful this time around, and don't want to be caught 'unprepared' like last Tuesday.

But to be certain, there is a "system" that is moving towards the southern Philippines:

Typhoon and Weather Imagery (according to this site, it's a thunderstorm system)

So, even if this doesn't turn into a tropical storm, it is sure to bring heavy rains to the southern Philippines.

OT: Predicting weather has never been 100% accurate. Winds play a major role. Unfortunately, the winds can become very unpredictable and fickle to say the least.
