Duda ko, kadaghanan aning mga congressmen naa say dawat ani. Asta mga mayor og opisyales sa LGU.. kai di ni mahitabo nga naay jueteng inya walay kalibutan ang mayor og hepe sa pulis. Mangayo dayon na sila og protection money. diri sugod ang katag sa kuwarta gikan sa jueteng.. from there it filters to the top.. of course DILG secretary responsable sa LGU, naa sad jud dawat. anha raman padung ang kuwarta inig saka

Kung ma-kasohan ba criminal, naa sad dawat ang judges sa RTC, tapos ang CA, tapos korte suprema. Tinuod tingali ni kai ngano wala pa man juy naprison aning jueteng?

this was the same issue that started the downfall of erap. most people involved in this are the same one's as before. gambling is a vice that the govt. shouldn't tolerate. i hate to say this but i don't pity those people who made their living from illegal activities. if they legalize this why not legalize marijuana as well, it's a plant anyway. if the reason is poverty that led to do such, then they are helping the poor to get poorer by introducing them to a vice. there's nothing wrong in hoping to win, but working is better than hoping. how can you tell your kids to study hard to earn better when their parents raised them with money that don't need studying at all. this is just wrong! very wrong!

It's a cultural thing jud bai, basig wa lang jud ka kasabot sa mentalidad sa tao diri. Marijuana is a separate matter altogether, although there is a case for legalizing that too it's a separate matter altogether. The question in my mind simply is, if legalizing it will lead to more people doing jueteng and I don't think so coz I think part of the attraction to illegal gambling is its very illegality. Think on it, there are legal casinos, jai alai etc why is it people still resort to jueteng, it's because its got something that casinos don't - and that is its illegality.

It's a fact of life that you can't control the vices of people, if it's illegal, sometimes it makes it all the more tempting. In such a case the answer is regulation, not prohibition. Just as capitalism regulates instead of eradicates greed.
