i have the same situation..
though im the girl on the story
i had a relationship with my friend but it did not work out - i moved on and i think he still did not
its been i think a year nah
i insisted to still have the friendship between us because he is one of the nicest friend worth to keep
though i know he is suffering every time we meet or when we say hi or hello
we see each other almost everyday kay same workplace man.
