Can you recommend an EENT Doctor Specialist?

I have a bad case of Tonsilitis where i can barely swallow. I took a nap, now that i have woken up my ear canal and throat feels like it has a lead weight all through it. Everytime I burp, I feel a sharp shooting pain through my ear drum. This started even before I started taking erythromycin (antibiotic). Is this normal or have i got something else?

OT: goodness, i took Erythromycin before & 2 days of taking it skin allergies started appearing.

didto ko ni dr. amparado tungod sa good feedback diri nga thread pero murag wala man relief iya gi reseta sa ako nga medicine :c naa gihapon ako plugged right ear..

nag take q kron amoclav, 2x/day for 5days ug nasathera 3x/day for 7days. i've been taking these meds for 4 days na..

ingon ra ba c doc nga if dli madala sa tambal kay buslotan akong eardrum.. wahh,, kinsa man naka experience ani..

wala ko kasuway ana imu problem sis... pero so far ha? based on my experience... ok dyud na si dr. amparado... in case naa ko prob in relation to eent cya dyud ako duolon..

Ei nikki sulayi si Dr. Rivera sa M. Diaz bldg. (kanang beside sa Cebu Doc) mao na cya ako EENT doctor. Although dugay-dugay nko wla kabalik sa iya (controlled naman ako allergy thank God) but ok ni cya nga doctor.

Regarding anang procedure nga buslotan ang eardrum, sa ako nga case is naa small tube gi-insert sa ako eardrums, it stayed there for a year. What happen is nadaot ako hearing tungod sa daghan nga mucus na-accumulate (libog ko ug explain, basta got something to do with my allergic rhinitis). Full anesthesia man guro toh during the operation because unconscious man ko sa process. Anyways dli man ta pareha ug sakit, naka-recall lang ko pag-mention nimo nga buslotan ang eardrum =)

I would suggest get a second opinion. Sulayi si Dr. Rivera or any other doctor gi-recommend nila dri sa forums.

thanks for all your replies! nway i went to dr. eduardo arcenas of chonghua med arts to get 2nd opinion. im now taking levox 1tab for the next 7 days. Prednisone (steroids) 4pcs after breakfast and 3pcs after dinner. im also using kamillosan spray for my tonsils. so hopefully ma drain na ang fluid.

@hayden: bro murag prehas ta ug case.. i think mao ni gitawag nga GLUE EAR?.. nga naay accumulation of fluid sa ear.. dont know how it got there either hehe. so how much did you pay for your operation? unsa man do's and dont's if naa nay grommet (that tiny tube) sa ear?

maau ng makapangandam ko daan.. but i really do hope nga dli maabot sa ingon ana nga magpa opera na

I guess mao na iya name, naka-limot naman gud ko sa term gi-sulti ni Dr. Rivera ana before, wala pa pod ko tarong nga buot adto nga time (some 10 yrs ago). That time I think it's 30k or something nakalimot na jud ko pila toh nagasto, wala napod nko gi-huna2 ang important ky matarong ako pamati. Kadtong gibutangan ug tube ako ears is last option naman toh, before ky naa ko weekly session nga mag-drain siya sa ako ear pra makuhaan ang fluids (murag i-vacuum ang accumulated fluids), basically tablets ra jud unta toh but wla man nadala

Ang DONT lang man nga ako na-remember when naa tube is dli ko pde mo-submerge ako ulo if maligo ug dagat, until now eventhough wla na ang tube mura ko ug ma-phobia if maligo sa dagat so pirme iro2 ang style.

Anyways let's just hope mopatuo na sa meds pra dli naka mo-resort adtong grommet...
