.. I joined and submitted my entries on the originally set deadline. If I wasn't into this contest, I wouldn't leave any of the comments in my previous posts.

The only guys who left "comments" about the contests is Eisen(abortretryfail), Ron(ke-25), Jon(Chipmunk) and me.

Me, I joined the contest. I left a comment because I was surprised when I got to their office and realized I had to pay P200 for each photo. I got 6 photos (3 dishes) mounted already. The mechanics wasn't clear about it. I just didn't expect to be spending that much. And what irked me more was that I was asked "kani lang sila imo isubmit sir?" Will I win? Most likely.. a big NO. Hehe. I'm not a food stylist. I said mahal and gamay ang price in relation to what I have spent. But heck.. I'm in.

As for those other 3 names I mentioned. Those guys won contests before in different themes. Ron joined this contest and I think Eisen also. I guess those guys are entitled to their opinions too as well as you are.

How many entries did you submit to this contest? What dish?

@Dex(szichri) thanks for the post I'll check it out.

coz everytime photo venues presented themselves there's always some flack flying
I mean most newbies or some are even busting their backs (ok maybe not) looking for venues or shoots.
my point is if mangapil sila then its their asses and theyre big enough to know what coming at them
if na challenged and nalingaw sila joining and competing then it doesnt matter if "NAILAD" sila
still they got something out of it

    just my opinion lang

okay ra man basta dili lang photo farming ang contest... like gi explain before I hope ka sabot ka companies are taking advantage of the boom in photography for their own profit.

Think about it like this photo farming is like ni palit ka ug car(your work) for 1.4M... then imo ra gi hatag(photo farming).. so mo lakaw nalng ka in the blazing heat(this represent all your hard work).. then kato imo gi hatagan ni sakay sa awto ni agi(this represent the company using your picture for their profit).. di pa gud ka pa sakyon.... even if pa aircon ra ka for a while... dili pwede....

ang sakto unta ana is mo rent ra man sila sa imu awto... unless imo gi sell imo awto for a reasonable prices.

I think this is how most people here see photo farming contest..

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

about the contest I think it's worth it ra.. the work is not that hard and the biggest thing imo ma gasto is the entry fee which I still think it's okay because they are gonna display your work in waterfront during their event...

got 2 of my 4 entries on the final list but are not winners. im a bit sour graping because i feel that the winner should have been DQed because his entry had an identifying mark which was a boarder. that is clear as day in the rules!

congrats upak! I'll post the photos of what was left in the gallery when I got there this afternoon. I got 1 of 2 in the finalist too

Question, those displayed at the gallery, where those all that were submitted? Or out of all the entries, they choose which to display in the gallery. And from the gallery, they choose the finalists and winners?
