    many places in the philippines are karst areas and therefore susceptible to these. of course, cebu is among the top karst areas in the country.

    Sinkholes are most likely to happen on limestone regions... and i think dili man limestone region ang cebu...
    Underground limestone layers can be dissolved by ground water or seepage from above ground streams.. so if naay crack ang underground limestone.. awww good luck sa naa sa taas ana.. pero sa ako nahibal-an this usually happens on cave roofs kanang mag-collapse bah..

    just observe sa atong mga karsada bro. kanang mga libaong nga cracked nya hiyak, that can be considered a sinkhole already. pwerteng daghana intawn ana sa atong mga karsada.


    lawm sad tong sa china ui. but funnel shaped lang compared sa guatemala nga cylindrical. and the soil is obviously wet and loose especially on the deeper part.
