I believe that cults and religious sects are one of the biggest threats facing this country today. We even have religious leaders trying to enter politics, such as Mike Velarde under the partylist system. The all-important RH Bill which would have saved countless children from a hellish life has been derailed by the Catholic Church all in the name of morality. Not every Catholic is like that, but the establishment is so detached from the real world, it has skewed its sense of morality into something childish and petty whilst ignoring the real evils in this world: grinding poverty, overpopulation and paedophilia.
