... in the next few months, the price of 7D will definitely drop and you'll be drolling for its replacement and will be in doubt again what to get... while in the meantime a lot of photo opp has passed and you missed it because you dont have that camera that you've always wanted... grab one that you can afford now and start shooting... if you think it will take some more time to save for a 7D get one that you can afford now kay basi maabtan nasad kas bag-o di nasad ka kadecide which one to take. I'll go with some guys here that suggested to go for the best lens now that you can afford and get the more expensive bodies later. I do not suggest that you go "paylite" sa imo card just to have the 7D, you'll regret it. I am almost sure that come August the price of the 7D will significantly drop and you will still be paying for it at the high price plus interest using your card... not economically good. Mas maayo pa lens ka invest i had a 7D last december, used it for the sinulog and sold it after the sinulog while i still can sell it at a high price being a 2nd hand camera. It is a very good camera. Responsiveness is comparable to my 1dII that i still have. Colors are great even with a cheap kit lens. Pero kung di lang sa 8fps of the 7D, ang 500D that i had before the 7D can do the same job (in my style of shooting) at a cheaper price.
7d is a great camera, great features but a bit pricey. If you think you can make use of all these features, by all means get it. The value for money on a camera investment is on how you will be able to maximize the use of the said investment... will you shoot sports with it? are you going to shoot birds with it? if this is part of your plan, the 7D is the tool... but for those kind of scenarios you'll need long lens nasad ... while saving for the long lens comes a new body that you will now lust on... the cycle never stops hehehe ...
for me if i'd have a crop body, this will be my lens line-up:
efs 10-22
ef 24-105Lis
ef 100-400Lis
ef 85f1.8
