Ninoy during that times was the godson of President Magsaysay and very influential to the president. So here is the heart of the matter why the younger brothers/sisters of Pepe had the everlasting resentment until now perpetuated in the current generation. May pagka swapang pud diay to si Ninoy Aquino. Karon lang ko kahibalo ini da.
Ninoy was as ambitious a politician as they come. I still revere him as a hero. His death sparked an outrage that ultimately removed Marcos from power. Yet had he lived and become president, there is no guarantee he would be as upright and clean as many people would be inclined to believe.

There is no evidence any of it was ever returned to the Philippine government.

The rumor is that Dr. Antonio Cojuangco, Sr., said to be the son of Ysidra's sister-in-law Tecla, is actually the love child of Ysidra and Luna. A scandal would have erupted had it been known Antonio was born to an unmarried woman. Tecla, by the way, is Cory Aquino's and Danding's grandmother.

(Dr. Antonio Cojuangco was killed by Japanese troops during the battle of Manila in 1945. His son Ramon sired former PLDT chair Tonyboy, who carries his grandfather's name).

Dr. Antonio Cojuangco's birthdate, circa 1899, is only a few months after the death of Antonio Luna. Of course all documentary references to the relationship between Luna and Ysidra have long since disappeared. But it's easy to see who Dr. Cojuangco's possible namesake may have been.

didnt the Malacañang run after the Aquinos after they dropped their support for gloria?
July 08, 2005- the Aquinos dropped their support for the gloria with the Hyatt 10.

The Aquinos broke ties with Arroyo in July 2005, the same month the DAR’s Task Force Luisita submitted the findings and recommendations of its investigation. This formed the basis for the government’s decision a few months later to revoke Luisita’s Stock Distribution Option (SDO) and order the distribution of the hacienda’s land to the farmers.
no specific date? so, which actually came first the dropping of support or the submission of the report? kulang pa research ning GMA, contrary to what other posters said nga 'kamao kuno moresearch'. and by the way, GMA is owned by known Marcos cronies. so there goes the 'no bias' thing.

I learned about this years ago in college, on one of my advanced Philippine history subjects.

Google Ysidra Cojuangco and you will find some references. Larry Henares wrote about this sometime ago in his own webpage, Philippine Folio.
