    I would say:
    - if you want customer service, average picture quality, go to DREAM.
    - if you want low budget TV, low picture quality, go to GSAT
    - if you want to play with fire, getting similar channels then the other 2, but charge much more, go to PLDT/Cignal

2HD channels, and then 790 pesos IS too much. In Europe, we have 77 HD channels for a lower price...
Prices should be adapted to local annual income, and not be higher than in the US or Europe. But thats PLDT... they have been always more expensive then the rest of the world... for lesser service.

Go to a SMART wireless center.. (SM Cyberzone along SUN, SONY, NEO shops) CIGNAL is another product of the PLDT.. I scanned the leaflet i got from SMART.... monthly service fee for the 20 channels (P390) is good but the P10,000 for the HD Set Top Box?... quite high. when there a dealers selling it at a lower price. I also asked if i could just purchase my own HD TV box and I was told it won't work.

thanks for the info. kaundangon nako sa sky.. since gibutangan nila anang black box, perting gyud batia ang signal. morag 18-in-1 DVD. sa sat tv, sulayan siguro nako ang dream sat. barato ra man ang post-paid. i agree with a few, ang pldt not known for their good customer service. ang cignal sad, bag-o pa, basin magkapa kapa pa na sila ... i'll try to evaluate dream tv for one year.

    GSAT is not ok.
Its the worst picture and sound quality I ever saw.
Volume of the different channels are not even at the same level, so you keep adjusting volume all the time.
Very blury picture with lots of artifacts.
Looks for me like a 320x240 image upscaled. Lower quality than VHS.
I would NEVER EVER recommend GSAT.

Back to Cignal: It might be fine, but its too expensive for what it offers.
Btw, does anybody know what connectors the box for Cignal has?
Does it have HDMI for video and sound?
