Reservation - We called 1 week prior to arrival date for reservation. When we called again 2 days before, wala mi ma-reserve. Maayo gani kay dili sila fully booked. (We knew why they are not fully booked this summer when we personally went there).
Room - We reserved Family Room 2 and Family Room 3. We had to settle for Standard Rooms kay puwerteeeeeng bati-a! Ganindot lang picture sa website. Bare kaayo unya bahong dunot. Puwera gaba! Amo pa gyud standard room kay stuck up ang drain sa banyo, ngitngiiiiit kaayo ang suga (you can't read coz of the dim lighting), unya buslot pa gyud ang atop duol sa aircon.
Extra Bed - Dili man to bed... matress ra man nga hastang nipisa. Mura ra'g banig.
Food - We were told that their restaurant opens at 7am.
Amenities - Per website, naa'y karaoke bar. Wala diay to.
Beach - Sa website, mura'g white ang beach... dili man.
Kun wala pa, pauli gyud mi the day we arrived.

Kun ako'y pangutan-on, dili ko mo-recommend. Maypa adto mo Aqua Cainta sa Mohon, Talisay.

We admit our family rooms are kind a old especailly the bungalow type.. That's the family house were groups usually stayed.

    YOU JUST ADMITTED IT.

For our food....We open exactly 7:00 am if no staff inside the bar you can ring a bell located in the bar also. maybe the staffs are in the kitchen. And I think you already know that is not a simple restaurant.. The Dalaguete Beach Cafe and Restaurant is an INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT..The prices are intended for dollar currency. Good thing you realized that you can buy food outside.(WE ALLOWED YOU TO DO THAT).

Don't you guys have waiters or cashiers or any volunteer who could accommodate the customers? WTF? INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT? I think its a carenderia and you're just saying its Internationally acclaimed or something like that because it is located at your so-called-private restaurant.

Our website is not updated...the karoake that was before.. We took it out becuase most of our guests our foreigners and they don't like noises. You can rent Karoake for a limited time untli 10PM only..
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE RESORT IN NOT PUBLIC.. "OCEAN BAY IS A PRIVATE RESORT"

Actually Dalaguete Tourism is working hand in hand with the resort. Like suroy2x sugbo and the coming "wonders in dalaguete.

Ok. Every tourism icon in the province of Cebu is acknowledged on Suroy Suroy Sugbo. It's the tourism project of the province of Cebu.

she arrived late and don't have any plans to sleep (she just want to chat all night). when i was about to sleep the aircon stopped at 3am, we don't have electricity in our room. i looked outside, and there was still lights in posts. i was calling all the numbers in the phone, but no one is answering.

to cut this long story short. the electricity was back at 6am. i asked for discount, they just gave me 10% plus they charged my auntie's entrance. she didn't even go to the beach.

never will i go there again.
Suus, mura man hinoon ug masuko ang management nga gi comment sila ug bati. Hahay. Mao na dira. Improve be nya pakita unsay labas.

Bantayan Island is one of the most renowned and most visited tourist destinations sa Cebu, so sad to say ang uban locals nila mu-take advantage gyud.

Swerte nalang ko when I went there for the second time last week kay usa sa among kuyog taga Bantayan gyud, so we had the cheapest means of transpo, accomodation and food (seafoods there are to die for! labi na kung musugat mo'g mananagat and buy from them! affordable na fresh pa!)

I have been to OceanBay. That was..hmmm..almost two years ago. I'd say my experience was just ok. Yes i agree that the place is nothing like what you see sa website. The room was clean though, and was already prepared when we arrived (good thing!). The downside was the TV. It didn't work. Maayo nalang unta to naay lingaw while inside the room.

The pool? I particularly didn't like it. It was in indoor pool and so dili kaayo ka mainitan. But for a resort with a self-proclaimed standard in catering to foreign guests, I'd say "nice" is an overstatement. Naay rope naka-hang sa kilid sa pool para tingali to kapyot-kapyotan then mu-jump sa pool. "Badoy" para nako kung ang ila man diay target market are foreigners. The beach? Hmmmm.. need I say more?

The good part was the food sa restaurant. Price was just right for me kay dako man pud ang portioning. One plated order that's good for one person can actually be shared by two. And lami pud so that's a plus! The lady attendant was nice too!

Would I recommend it? Yes if you're simply after for a brief weekend relaxation and with no strict preferences. But it may not be worthy of a comeback for some. Kamo nalang judge

And oh! this isn't my worst vacation (sorry if this comment isn't in line with the topic). I'm just sharing this so everyone else reading may give OceanBay a little benefit of the doubt.

Bitaw pud. My visit was almost two years ago. The resort may have improved by now.

But for those gusto gyud og all out kiat2x to the maximum level, choosing this resort may mean adding to their list of possible worst vacations. Dili lang gyud mag expect too much.

Dumaluan beach resort - panglao, bohol

1st visit: my family went there from tagbilaran port via private service car which is included from a package by supercat. Service and rooms are okay as well as the food so nag enjoy mi bisag overnight ra to since mag all-round tour man mi ato after the next day.

    3 years after

2nd visit: This time dghanx2 mi , my cousins, aunts and mom n' dad. Gikan mi tubigon port so niabang mig v-hire gkan tubigon. Mejo gabiee nami abot sa dumaluan ato but certain mi nga d to puno since lean season man to time-a.

ani ang nahitabo, pag abot namo sa front desk gipangutana mi in a sarcastic manner, "sir, daghan lagi mo?" referring to my dad. Dayun checkx2 kad**** sa manual nila kung napabae rooms ( it took 30min ). Ako cousin nakadungog pajud nga one of the roomgirls nagtabi nga "dghana sad ana nila oi, maglsod jud tag atiman sa rooms ani.. awa v-hire pajui gisakyan". I dnt know kung nag joke bato ako cousin or not pero wa rako kai kapoi naman byahe. After 30 min wala ra diay gyapon mi kasud since "puno" daw. We settle for Alona beach instead, which is nicer sa ila service.

Ever since, wa nami mubalik sa dumaluan (fueled by other remarks about the place nga mupili silag local customers nga kwartahan ug foreigners.)

They didn't realized the power of the word-of-mouth! banga sila sa ilang marketing department, so to speak.
