If you can afford a turntable and a good quality amplifier then vinyls are for you. Vinyls need to be handled delicately to avoid scratch and breakage. It's availability now is limited because its hard to find nowadays store selling vinyls thus limiting your choices. On the other hand Cds are cheap and available in all record stores and other sources. It can also be played on a DVD player and other simple audio equipment. You just store it in a cd case for storage either in a cabinet drawer or even in your car which you can not do with a vinyl. But vinyl will beat cd anytime when it comes to sound quality reproduction.

Vinyl. The sound quality is so much better than cd.

Btw, I went to Manila last Friday and saw at astronvision glorieta 1 some vinyls. Nag sugod na og revive ang vinyl sa music stores.

That's right bro I saw that also but you may have noticed those vinyls are imported stocks and the cheapest I think is P800 and the higher qualities are price more than one thousand pesos. I know there are lot of second hand stores in Manila selling vinyl starting from P450.00 pesos.

mahal bitaw kay wala naman ang local press nato diri sa pinas. mura og gi patimbang na tingali.

anyways, as i browse through the rack, i suddenly saw "the smiths-the smiths" and the "smiths-meat is murder" albums. i immediately pulled the 2 items to my excitement. but upon checking the prices, it is a whopping 2,799 petot. my eyes nearly fell! so, with a sorry look in my face, i returned back the 2 vinyls to the display rack. lol.

i think i'll just wait for the prices to go down as soon as there will be a return of philippine press or ma common na ang sales sa vinyl.
