NEW YORK, May 18 – Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks has been suspended one game without pay for punching San Antonio’s Michael Finley, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 3.4 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of the Mavericks 98-97 loss to the Spurs last night at AT&T Center. Terry will serve his suspension Friday night as the Mavericks host the Spurs for Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

there's still a couple of options for the Mavs at point, Armstrong and Daniels. the former is a tenacious defender while the latter is also a slasher and IMO all the Mavs will be missing will be Terry's clutch shooting but I believe Daniels will provide another puzzle to solve for the Spurs..

what a very bad news for all the mavs fan.... but i will not write the mavs off for this game just because terry is out...this is where the character of d mavs will be shown to all that this ain't the mavs of the past who had no mental toughness...this is where avery will show to the league that he's indeed the coach of the year! i'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow's game GO GO MAVS

pressure is defintely on both sides. dallas the momentum of the 3-1 lead while the spurs will be pressured to defend their championship trophy. by looking at the game 7 situation, the spurs has a very slight edge, the homecourt, momentum and the experience. but an upset is very likely.

personally, id like to see the spurs win.. but whether its mavs or the spurs. i think a mavs/spurs vs clips match up will be very good.

im rooting for the clippers against the suns

i still believe this will happen... Terry's back for Game 7, and please, dont punch Finley on the crotch again. No punching, really, its a suspension, he could've grabbed it instead since the penalty could only be a fine.
