As an aside:
Oh, my. Naa pa diay Cebu Zoo? The last time nga nakaadto ko ug Cebu Zoo was some 25 years ago (walay binuang) --- Unya si "Pader Tropa" ang gaalaga sa mga bitin. Hahahaha. Bitaw, I'm not overly fond of zoos --- there's something sad about animals in captivity.
:
i was in Cebu Zoo last November after I saw on TV Patrol taht they have acquired a tiger. I saw the tiger on the cage pero limping man. Luoy ngano na piang tingali. Ang nagdala sa zoo karon kay bata bata daw ni Tropo before. Duna daw ni siya maayo nga work but iya gibiyaan to be with the animals. Even when Fr. Tropa was still around our zoo was not that impressive but it is better than having no zoo at all. I could still remember the lion, but I think that was a female lion, there was the bear, the large python that was fed with monkey and the orang otang nga mang labay sa iyang hugaw. What saddened me most is not the state of the zoo but the conflict between the city hall and capitol that proposes to evict the zoo to be replaced with a center for women and elderly. With all due respect to the elderly, I don't think they would be happy to have their center built there. Not only that it is far and impractical, I believed that they will be more happy if the zoo will be retained to give the children chance to see what they were very happy at during when they too were still young.
