Just like purecebuana, I am married to a foreigner. At first it was really hard coz we have what we call cultural differences. Lot's of adjustments but we made it.
More than 2 yrs kami writing to each other and emailing. And we are going to celebrate our 7th year or marriage on April 10 next year.
Still going very strong despite distance. Our relationship was tested by time and distance. I am blessed I am his wife.

very glad to hear that ur still going very strong despite distance. May I ask if u don't mine why man layo mo kron?

I do agree with u that marrying a foreigner not very easy at start due to cultural differences, very challenging jud but if LOVE is stronger to one another, nothing can beat the trials which actually makes the bond more stronger.

In our situation we have to be both patient, very understanding & trust one another esp my hubby travels frequently for his work. Bag-o pa mi grabe jud cge ko kuyog wherever he goes kay mag cge ko selos but after my son's born wla nko kuyog kay I understand nman & also proven na he loves me vey much.

We just celebrated our 10th yr anniversary last Sept, and we're getting stronger every minute of the day, hope that we will be together forever to see our 2 wonderful children grow up.

Now I can say that I'm very much happily married, kids are well-loved with such a supportive hubby.

purecebuana: Well, he has to go back to US to work. But we communicate everyday thru the internet YM chat) or phone or email and I really mean everyday.

Communication is very important to us.I am glad to learn that there are Pinays like you who have found happiness in their marriage.
One tip to Pinays out there who wants to get involve with a foreigner. Study their culture and be sure you know their language well and what is most important is: never marry someone for convenience.

@ellehpo28: that's great that you have constant communication..it's very important!

Ako bestfriend married to French from Monaco, they're married is fantastic too.. In any marriage whether to filipino or foreigner, u must have OPEN COMMUNICATION, never ever keep a secret, whatever it may be u must share it to ur partner, any worries or doubts please discuss it with ur partner...

ur right @ellehpo28, never ever marry just for convenience... u got nothing to gain!

let God be the centre of ur married life and keeps LOVE stronger..
