TRP is known to be a good English speaking country, thus we all should expect that the contestants are well versed and fluent when they speak (or make good sense the least). Apart from that, if she is really mediocre when it comes to English, then why use it? She might have won Bb. Pilipinas but she also placed RP in the limelight of mockery and ridicule.

I don't measure one's intelligence through his fluency in english. But admit it, she wasn't able to answer the simple question the judge was asking her. Well, she's only 17 and has 7 months to improve. It's not about that anymore, the issue here is about her quitting. She had the chance to prove her critics wrong and that she truly deserved the title. If she's a quitter then she has proved us that she doesn't really deserve to represent our country at the 2008 Miss World beauty pageant.

The term BACKED OUT should be more appropriate than the term QUITTING . When we say QUIT ... it means STOP or CEASE but when we say BACKED OUT ... something that holds her to the point maybe against her will . She has her reasons and that clearly was said to be the DEATH of a FAMILY .
