Why aren't Hybrids being introduced into the philippines?

Toyota Motors Philippines will launch the prius this yr kung ma ok na ang problem with the batteries. Ang battery temp daw is higher than the normal temp. They will be introducing the 2009 Model na kay pa faced out naman ang current model. TMP Personel told us that the warranty of the batteries is 10years, not 5. Batteries would cost daw 10,000 US Dollars if replaced. HEHEHE Murag auto ug presyo!!!!

For me Hybrid Vehicles is more on caring to our environment. its not more on savings.

pero ang current technology karon sa hybrid cars is not more on environment but para naay something new nga humot pud para sa mamalit. Gigamit lang ang environment mga word para samot mohumot ug attractive para mahalin. Daghan na gyud fuel efficient nga design ug environment friendly pa gyud gi patent aning mga car manufacturers mismo pero wala gyud nila gi release for production for public use. Gi patent lang na aron hiposon ug walay laing makareproduce for good. Yes tinuod naay mga tao within sa manufacturers mga tarong ug tinguha for the environment pero wala gihapon silay final say unsay ipagawas sa market.

ANg wala ninyo makuha is HYBRID is environment friendly pero it will defeat the purpose since wala pa man gi OUTLAW sa Pilippines ang DIESEL ENGINES .

@ VERNIE ... No , aesthetics plays a good role in the merketing thus it justifies the value of the vehicle . Its like saying , BMW and MB sells cars with KOREAN parts with the same german technology and price tag . Its also wrong to say not to take care of the vehicle keeping it in tip top shape as long as you can deliver the fuel correctly . Its like saying , ibaligya ang bala aron makapalit ug pusil .

Up for the HYBRID cars .... if I can only afford to import the LEXUS RX400H and the TOYOTA CAMRY H . I'll be damn !!

Water hybrid ni bai vernie.his nissan sentra's consumption is 1L/42Km.i will convert my car to water hybrid.tested na jud almost 2 yrs. na iya car nag water hybrid.4 nissan sentra's na diri sa cebu ang water hybrid.puhon pang 5 nako.

biggest problem sa hybrid not being introduced here is the lack of support from the govt. Walay tax incentives.... sige lang ug pangurakot...thats why mahal kaayo ang Prius. 2M for a car that should have been priced at 1.2M
