mms is multimedia (PHOTOS/audio/etc)
not the same thing.

if you can send photo/audio/etc. via sms then mms would be pointless but thats not the case...
no one is hyping mms...its just something many of us use (some use seldom others dont)...
point is iphone doesnt have this feature thats already found in cheap under 3,000pesos na phones...
text forwarding is also another feature many many of us use which is found on phone under 1,500pesos...
features found in 5 year old phones...even 10 year old phones...

also i dont care bout the world wide number...its philippine numbers id like to know

having 5mp photos can easily be reduced for mms sending...infact on phones like n95, its done automatically without the user even noticing it

besides 5mp allows photos to be PRINTED with more clarity and at a larger size.
lack of optical zoom on these camera phones allow cropping with a lot better results than otherwise possible with a 2mp resolution.

its easy to reduce the size of high quality photos...next to impossible to put more quality/detail to low quality/resolution photos.

hmmm, no excuse for not putting flash or any light source for lowlight photography!

so why bother with it......

SEE MMS pictures that have no CLARITY and Quality SINCE IT IS REDUCED... better attach it with email...

Yeah, MMS is not used often compared to SMS here in the Philippines. But its a feature that shouldn't be missed out. Its a convenience feature... Once in while you will always want to send a picture directly to another phone without using Email. Since not all mobile phones have Email capability or users simply don't use them often on a cellphone. But since most cellphones have MMS... then its the most logical way of sending pictures... and not through Email.

Message forwarding? who doesn't use this? Almost all of us do message forwarding. How can we ever quote somebody or pass on nasty rumors and jokes without message forwarding? hehehehe.
I can live without the front camera since I hardly ever do video chat.... but never without MMS and message forwarding.

IMO, the image quality on camera phones sucks even at 5 megapixel... but hey at least its better than 2 megapixel. hehehe.

I still give the iphone thumbs up for its design (cool and stylish), simple UI and the cool Apps! (jail broken)... but maybe I'll pass on for now on the iphone 3g and wait for the iphone 4G! But I won't complain if somebody gives me an iphone 3g. hehehe!

Iphone can do email.... unlike other phones... That is the point... MAke full use of EMAIL feature... ATTACH pictures ALL you want

magpadala mms kay mao raman ang naa sa pikas. ang makadawat walay lain magamit kungdili mms para maka dawata siya ug picture. di pwedi niya ang email. unsa imo buhaton, insist gyud ka sa email na wala man gyud siya...

goes back to compatibility and flexibility sa iphone...it lacks that

and in the philippines, less people do emails with attachments on their phones than there are who use MMS. i check with friends working tech at globe and smart imagine amount of content philippine users download thru mms...ringtones, photos of their idols, etc. every single day hmmm, maybe the iphone isnt ment for the pilipino people then? coz even the king of mobile email in the US, blackberry, has mms...all other phone brands have mms...so look back to this post when iphone eventually catches up and includes mms

sub 3k and up phones often already have mms capability and can automatically be configured OTA.

ive been in the business for many years and not one user of under 5k na phone akong nailhan ngpasetup namo ug email sa phone nila. even higher end phone panagsa ra kaayo magutana regarding that. but just about everyday people ask us here sa shop about mms and how to set it up and use it.
