I've seen that thing everywhere.
init man gud mao kini ang avatar sa mga tao. . . hehehe. . .
It's cute though.
Pls also learn the difference between Mb and MB.. Mb = megabits MB = megabytes... 8bits = 1byte...
so 100Mbps is Ethernet Card to your modem or router speed..
100Mbps isnt that impossible nuon coz 100Mbps = around 13MBps.. but thats not anytime soon
for instance before PLDT/Globe or any DSL ISP gives thought of ever getting higher band width they should FIX and i mean REALLY FIX their phone lines and wires.. get better equipment and Fix everything..
High bandwitdth DSL lines wont make a difference if we have crappy lines and crappy service and crappy everything
.. given an example a guy from the lets say Hongkong running A Speed of only 768KBPS (given his phone lines are clean meaning walay hugaw or static) versus a Pinoy runing 1.5 or 2.5MBPS (given the conditions of phone lines here sa pinas puros SINUMPAYAN, Karaan, ang uban naay tabanog, naa short, naay samad) who would get DL speeds or up speeds?
answer = the guy from hongkong.. coz his lines are cleaner and much less static
Before we really wish 50MBPS or 100MBPS or anything more than that we need to think of what is the main problem..
we could experience good quality internet if we have good cables and equipment. as a 3rd world country we do not have that in any chance..
lastly how can we have that much bandwidth if we do not have the equipment for it..
as my example goes, Singapore serves 50Mbps and 100Mbps cable and DSL lines for residential lines. they have way better equipment than us, they have cleaner lines. and not to mention they dont buy bandwidth..
also and Fyi, Singapore telecom owns Globe lines DSL with ayala.. WHO provides DSL bandwidth for Globe Singapore telecom does..
This is for everyone who doesn't know. Please take time to read as this is very important to avoid misconceptions here in this thread. Take note of your shift keys.Originally Posted by Jacobus

if they have clean lines sa Singapore (owns globelines DSL) nganong d mn magkadimao ang connection sa globe?Originally Posted by Jacobus
@nonoyantoine: sir, how dili maka dimao? 1 answer bandwidth from singapore travels to pinas, here in pinas it is distributed to the people here... if u follow the arrows... fromm singapore to pinas it is clean lag time is so minimal dili ma feel... BUT from pinas to the user wow big lag time.... this is why dili sa ta mangandoy og 1TERAbyte of what.. kay in the 1st place hugaw jud kaau atong phone lines sa pinas.. maybe some part of manila nndot sila phone lines.. Kita ray g.ilad sa globe og pldt. mga wires ana from the terminal box to the connecting box karaan ang bag.o ra ana wire from the connecting box to ur house.
why bati ang globe lines of connection kay bati man sad pag travel sa imo data or bandwidth from ur house to singaporetelecom server.
and for lines and stuff.. singapore telecom does not provide any lines for globel lines they provide bandwidth and some stuff lng.. dili sila naga taod sa cable dili sila ang mu butang og equipement diri sa pinas... wa silay labot ana lol.... si ayala pangutan.a ana i think 30% sa globe sing tel uban majority ayala na.
As usual, Philippines has messy phone lines.
some ppl is confused about 100Mbps ethernet standard LAN speed? hehe
its true that singtel is one of the owner of globe
30%+ share sa singtel 30%+ sa ayala. wala nako kbaw sa other 30%+
