for one, it is still a muslim country... jittery ghapon mga ppl about terrorists.. it is arab country for heaven sakes... how easy ra kaha to fly a plane into the buildings or fire rocket launchers/ surface to air missiles from a boat or do jihad when all the surrounding countries are muslims... vulnerable sad na ang mga residents sa the world and the palm islands coz dako kau ang shoreline...easy ra kau for terrorists and kidnappers to land in some unguarded area and grab them.

so far, those things are mostly funded by the money of some rich oil prince/sheik... ok ra nila mag lose pa og money coz they can afford it pman.

I have not heard of terrorist atacks here in Dubai. Muslims will not attack there own brothers and the muslims here are the educated ones, they are not the type of muslims that we see on the news there in the Philippines. I know it is not the best place to live but to say that it is dangerous here would be very wrong. Here in Dubai, you can walk your way home past 12 MN without having to fear of a robber. I know there has been lots of news where in girls have been rape but most of them resulted on girls taking a ride from strangers. I could even say that Dubai is safer than the US cities. However, here are the bad points on living here in Dubai..... This is a place only for the filthy rich to live in and enjoy.... Everything is expensive.... The climate is not good, it is sooooo hot during the summers and sooo cold during the winter...

If you would ask me, I would prefer living in our own country....

Composed of three separate islands, Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira, the entire construction will add nearly 330 miles of beach front to the city of Dubai. Parts of Palm Jumeirah are currently open for development, with the remaining islands to be completed in the next 10-15 years. When finished, the three islands will contain over 100 luxury hotels while Palm Deira itself will be almost as large as Paris.
