given the financial support from the government provincial universities can simply head to head with other universities abroad..

I have nothing against manilenos but what makes me abhor them is the fact that they always create noise ( puros rally!, yaw2x, strike! impeachment, politicking, kudita!, ug uban pa!!!) they think that they are the ones who represent the whole archipelago..disregarding the small voices of VisMin people.. Oh God seal those evil!!..opss off topic hahaha

it matters. not all schools have the same standard of teaching.
    okay hinaw-shaw.
no matter how hard you study on an unknowned school, if they don't give importance to the way they teach, how will you learn? how will you be able to compare and check if what you know is enough..
as for USC>UST or any other known school, you'll know where your knowledge stands cause there is competition and your professors are good.

dili lang kay mang baligya ug longganisa nya ang grado nakabase sa imo gpamalit

I'm an HR. Just recently I was offered the job.
During my application, it was indeed a plus factor that I studied in a good-named school here in Cebu. But it's not my sole ticket though. The school I was in wasn't "The Best" (if there's such thing). I grabbed whatever chance/opportunity that my school offered. Making the best of what you have helps a lot. I was in fact thinking that, though I was in a prestigious school in Cebu, there's more that I could have learned and achieved if I was in UPD (Honestly, this is my frustration. I passed the UPCAT but wasn't allowed by my parents to study there. Heck with all the political and economic madness in central luzon).

Going back. As an HR, as much as possible, every applicant has an equal opportunity (in theory). Though, by looking at the school name, it makes the work easier in finding who's gonna be a good employee. A good tree is expected to bear good fruit. But as I have experienced, it still boils down to the individual. Honestly, it embarrasses me to find an inefficient applicant coming from the same school as mine.

I hope there are other HRs here who can share their ideas. Basta, para nako, naa ra jud na sa estudyante na magtinarong xa bisag wa ilhi iyang school. Unsaon manang nindot na school nya way tarong na student b?
