Thread: ebay vs. amazon

  1. #31

    here's my input on this:

i could never compare Ebay and Amazon.

first and foremost, Ebay is an auction site. though it has features sad like the buy-it-now and best offer but mainly it's all about BIDDING. you can have the best deal ever if ever you won the auction at a very very low price. it's a risk to a seller though. i, for example, magmata og kadlawn kay mag-atang sa akong i-bid na item, where minutes na lang nahabilin sa bidding anha na magsugod ang excitement. placing your bid at a last second is a thrill most especially if you really really want the item.

now sa Amazon, is just like any other online store. Buy-pay-ship/wait just that.

there's always a risk in online shopping. if i am the kind of buyer na very meticulous, di ko mo buy online. but if you like excitement, then go for it. just trust your instinct. read and read and read then ask and ask and ask.

now re international shipping and custom duties and fees, kung ikaw swertehon P35 ra imong bayran pero malason gani aw expect to pay thousands. walay klaro ang computation sa custom, walay basis kon hain na nila kuhaa ilang percent2x diha.

my example to this is my parcel from China. imagine, plastic beads ray sulod then value of $18, i paid P1,300 then a parcel from US, leatherman multi tool ang sulod $20 ang value, i only paid P35

electronics, ay na lang pag expect barato imong mabayran. pag-andam nalang kay expected mas dako pa imong mabayran sa tax kesa sa presyo sa imong gipalit.

Ebay.PH has evolved na. they are starting to adapt kun unsa naa sa dot com like buyer and seller protection program. basta buy within Ebay. don't transact off Ebay gyud. naa kay laban if seller nimo magbinuang.

though ang seller dili pa protected sa mga joybidders pero sige lang. we can always file for an unpaid item and give the buyer an unpaid strike.

basta, trust your instinct lang. read the latest feedback. ayaw hesitate pangutana sa Community if naa kay doubt sa seller.

one of the Red Flag of a fraudulent transaction is GCASH ray gi offer na mode of payment then ang mga gibaligya high-end items. look for sellers that offer bank deposit and with higher feedback.

sa Amazon gyd nuon kasagaran brand new ilang items gamay ra namaligyag used.

refer sa DSR (Detailed Seller's Rating) bro. don't just depend on the text written by the buyers. they could be satisfied overall pero if the description is inaccurate, you can give the seller as low as 1 rating. sa DSR pa lang kahibaw naka what kind of seller you are dealing with. s/he may have 500 feedbacks ang yet ubos kaayo iyang DSR, then it's your risk to pursue.

and you can always file a report Item Received Not As Described. but first, communicate usa ka seller na di ka satisfied sa item kay wa maayo pagkadescribe.

Communication is the main ingredient on Ebay. There's always the Ask A Seller Button so pangutana jud.

    @ Dukot

naa bya'y mga seller nga di magpaapil ug newbie kng mo bid or mo buy bsta d mananghid....

since new ka bro try sending the seller a PM or ask Q.

nkasuway ko katong wla pa kaabot ug 10 akng feedback as buyer kasagaran mga power seller mo pm nko kng legit ba gyd ko nga buyer.

sa amazon murag wla mn clay feedback sa buyer - seller ra.

agree with rudjard. most sellers nag require sa mga newbie or with below 5-10 FBs to contact the seller prior to bidding, to let them know your intent of buying.

nagkalat na pud gud ang joybidders ron. bid diri, bid didto. nya way intention mobayad.

naa sad ra ba mi gibayran na feature sa listing. so if joybidder ra ang maka bid, ma TY lang tawn ang listing fee.

basta, COMMUNICATE with your seller all the time
