Donnie Walsh list of interviewees for the Knicks head coaching job: Mark Jackson, Tim Thibodeau (Boston assistant coach), Herb Williams (New York assistant coach), and Chuck Person (Sacramento assistant coach). Walsh even went to Phoenix just to interview Jackson.

Former Knick star and Orlando Magic assistant coach Patrick Ewing also expressed interest for the job but won't be available for now because of the Magic's playoffs stint. Thibodeau won't be available too until the end of the playoffs though Celtics head coach Doc Rivers has given the permission for interviews.

Walsh eyes to have a head coach in place before the NBA Draft in June.

With the possibility of landing an inexperienced coach, Walsh looks for an experienced assistant. Del Harris, Lionel Hollins, Jim Boylan, Gordon Chiesa (Memphis), Paul Westphal (Dallas), Don Newman (San Antonio), Ron Adams (Chicago), and Steve Clifford (Orlando) could all be candidates for the lead assistant role.

Either way, Donnie Walsh is doing a lot better than Isiah Thomas. . At least di na ta mauwaw mosuot ug New York Knicks apparels. . Next in line is to get rid of Stephon Marbury (hopefully).

I'll narrow down those choices to two; Mark Jackson and Tim Thibodeau. I would choose Tim though. For assistant coach, I'd suggest Don Newman of the Spurs. That would be a defensive-minded Knicks for me.

But with the Knicks line-up today, Mark Jackson and Paul Westphal would be a decent choice.

Di na madala ug disiplina si Marbury. . Plus the Knicks no longer need him because he's way beyond his prime, aging, and slowed down for next season because he's coming off an injury. Sending him away and his fat contract will do a lot of good for the Knicks.

I've got a few wishes for New York:

1.) They get a very good coach. Aside from those rumored names, Avery Johnson is what I have in mind. I really hope Mark Cuban would fire him. Dallas and Cuban are worthless anyway. . (Marijuana baby). .

2.) Get rid of Stephon Marbury and his fat contract (hopefully Marbury would personally opt out after this season) so the Knicks will at least have some breathing space in the salary cap.. at least getting near the limit. Sending Zach Randolph and Jerome James would be great too and hopefully, the Knicks will use Eddy Curry more. In short, an almost total revamp in the line-up.

3.) Hopefully they'll get a good spot in the lottery. Picking Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose, or OJ Mayo in the draft won't really hurt the Knicks.

Patay jud. Patay sad ang season nila kay mga gahi jud ug ulo, unless they can turn something around. That would be worth a shot, but Daly's been enjoying his moment already as a Hall of Famer. I don't think he's interested to go back and coach, especially with these kids' attitude.

Plus, basin dili sad ka-afford ang Knicks niya kay they are way past the luxury tax threshold this year. They can do a buyout for Marbury (ambot lang kaha ug mosugot si Steph) and trade some of their guys for salary cap space.

    THE LATEST:

LARRY BROWN IS NEW BOBCATS COACH?

    http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/...s-a-Team-.html

And now, a source close to the situation says Larry Brown -- a University of North Carolina legend just like Bobcats honcho Michael Jordan -- will be the next coach of the Bobcats.

Five other sources with connections to the team and/or Brown tell me they have heard the same thing, and believe it to be true, although none have specific knowledge of the talks.

And last night David Stern, the king of coy, actually said a throwaway "yes" when asked by Phil Jasner of the Philadelphia Daily News if he"has a job for Larry Brown." What did he mean by that? It was unclear at the time, but it's a little clearer now.

KENNY SMITH INCLUDED IN KNICKS' HUNT FOR GM

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ba...s_radar-2.html

Smith, who attended Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens and like Walsh is a graduate of North Carolina, has been more visible around Madison Square Garden in recent years while working as a part-time analyst on MSG Network, and has a close relationship with Garden president Steve Mills. Smith's main job is as an analyst on TNT's popular studio show, having worked alongside Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson since 1998.
