Putin is no saint, I feel that he's time in the KGB made him paranoid but at least when he makes moves he doesn't threaten other countries with sanctions, never resorts to calling names on his counterparts. Kato tawn Ukrainian crisis gi bully gud to ang Russia ug sanctions.

Every superpower starting from the ancient times has it's own version of a "Wolfowitz Doctrine", these things are always present on a faction being a dominating power of it's era.
If you go back to Alexander's Greece, Caesar's Rome, Kublai Khan's Mongolia, Suleiman's Ottoman Empire, Napoleon's France, Victoria's England, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's USSR, and now we have the United States of America --- you'll see the whole picture.

Putin is not in Syria to destroy ISIS, he's there to keep Assad in power. Plain and simple.

Thanks to the Russian airstrikes that killed the defenders against the Islamic State, ISIS now gained 5 villages in Northern Aleppo. Congratulations! Anyway, let's just hope this news is a lie.

Russia believes there is no such thing as moderate rebels but CIA-backed mercenaries.

Another reason of the pull back is the investigation of the Toyota pick ups that was given by State Department to ISIS. Lol

A good summary here on whats going on the ground: Syrian Oct 10

Unsa man purpose for the U.S. to get involved in Syria? What do they get out of it? Oil? Money? Power? Some sort of strategic advantage?

I'm sure ISIS can buy their own Toyota pick up trucks.
