For those who have money, branded medicine is probably okay. We need to support them in order for the big companies to fund researches for cure against several type of diseases. While for those who do not have the money and need long time medication, you can switch to generics instead. Why spend too much money if you don't have anything, right?

This is true as what I have observed here working abroad. Branded medicines cost a lot more in our country. I think we need to establish more local pharmaceutical companies with highly effective medicines to be distributed in our country.
