my mother let go of my father because she thought it over her head that she does not want to tolerate the kind of relationship that they had. u'd think she felt relieved right after doing that but she didn't. she missed him badly. but she ignored those feelings. perhaps because she knows that the same things will happen all over again. and she knew then that that wasn't what she wanted. sometimes, we gotta use logic. your feelings of love is certainly not helping you, nor your son. your love has gone all twisted. i'm sure there are more than one woman who went past this and did alright in the end. if they can do that, so can you. but remember - "you won't feel okay right away." you might even be tempted to go back. when that happens, it's all up to you.
