In Grade 11 I dated a Muslim girl but she's not really practicing it . Her dad opposed to our relationship because I'm not a Muslim . Her dad always brought the topic whenever they have an argument at home . We had to end our relationship because of it . I love her but if I have to look our relationship long term , it'll not be good on both sides knowing the dangers of Muslim parents resorting to honour killings . She's a beautiful Kurdish girl and I'm sure she'll find someone who will love and take care of her anyways . We still keep in touch on BBM though .

If you like and love someone who belongs to a different background/religion/political affiliation , you have to remember that he/she's "a rose by any other name" .
