To state the obvious, those with the "right" leadership traits should lead, regardless of gender. Sad to say, among primate species to which homo sapiens belong, you'll seldom hear the word "ALPHA FEMALE" (if at all). It stops being a mystery if you think in this way.

Margaret Thatcher and Angela Merkel are prime examples that women could lead, but there is always that soft spot women have which cunning adversaries could explore and exploit for being emotional. I could say the world would be chaotic.
