Let's say you are a Girl and you want to travel solo, maybe you can go Phuket, Thailand. Me and my partner visited there so many times and every time we go there you can really feel it is safe. Even I go out alone while my partner is sleeping in our hotel. You can walk and go shop peacefully. They are all friendly and hospitable. Plus the food is really nice for a cheap price! You can go visit "Patong Beach, Kata to Karon Beach"they are very close to each other. A lot of foreigners from different parts of the world.
You can also go travel alone in Singapore, this is the world safest country I've been to so far! But mostly it is a city type of place, you will enjoy Singapore if you want some new nice view, new places and nature within the city.

If you are a guy, I think you can go anywhere as long as you will make yourself look that you are just a low profile and make sure bring some tear gas and any self defense gadgets that you can bring.

But, it is always nice to travel with a companion at least you can feel that you have someone to talk to, eat together with or even take some nice photos of you! hahah! That's all!

Solo because I didn't have any friends who also have the time/interest/money to travel at the time. Mid 20s is a weird time because some people are students, some people have kids, some peoples parents still do everything for them, and some people work jobs with little/no vacation time.

I think one must travel alone at-least once in his lifetime. We will be able to explore ourselves during the journey.
We will be able to figure out our own negatives and positives during the venture.
I traveled alone during the singapore tour package and it was one of the awesome experience I ever had.
