^^ I think gi-answer na neh sa ubang posters diri:

Rebuking is one example of good works.

At that point in time, that's the only thing he can do: To rebuke to unrepenting theif and ask for forgiveness.
But what if he was pardoned? He did not die, and was given another chance?
Can we assume/expect that he will live a holy life?

By the way, what did Zaccheus do to make-up is bad deeds?
    Did he just ask forgiveness?

    How about on your part?

42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[a]”

now question.... ni naug bah ang criminal para mo himog good works aron ma save?
He is already saved because he didn't have the chance to do these good works and he is already doing good deeds by confessing and repenting sincerly. Christ himself told him he is forgaven. Salvation doesn't need good works but we are saved by the grace to do good works.

Zaccheus did not make up his bad deed by doing good works para maluwas. Nag una ang salvation ni Zach the moment he was invited by Jesus to sup with HIM. Nakadungog siya sa Gospel nga gi preach ni Jesus and through hearing cometh his faith in Christ, nisaka siya sa kahoy to know more this Jesus. Gi invite siya ni Jesus nga magdinner sila, he said yes to the invitation of Christ out of faith. Since then, gi uli nya ang mga nakurakot nya nga tax not because ganahan siya maghimo ug good works aron maluwas, its because naluwas na siya daan.

Nag una ang grasya sa kaluwasan pinaagi sa pagtoo that's why sayon na lang kaayo ni Zach pag uli sa mga kickback nya tungod sa Grasya ug pagtoo dili kay voluntary gyud to nya iyang good works. Nganong gud tawn iuli nya iyang kickback kung wala nausab iyang kasing kasing ni Christ.

^^ Since mao ra man to atong nahibaw-an nga story ni Zaccheus.
What if lang, after five years.. Nibalik cya ug pang-kickback?

Maka-ingon ba kaha ta nga dili to genuine iyang faith?

we cannot live and rely in "what if" sir, pero we can trust God's word. Since mao ra mana ang gi record diha nga story nya, tuohi lang nga mao na na kay pulong mana sa Ginoo , kasaligan jud na.

We are saved by the grace of God, dili grace to do good works. Salvation is a Gift, ang Gift dili angay trabahuan kay Gift man.

Sa imung post, naay panahon walay capacity ang tawo mubuhat ug maayu. Pero bisan pa ana, naluwas gihapon, so asa dha ang requirement nga Faith+Work? nasunod wala?

If ang requirements sa kaluwasan FAITH + Good Works nya naa sa Bibliya TANAN tawo NAKASALA ug nawad an ug himaya sa Dios. Hagbong na daan sa Good Works nga requirement kay tanan tawo man nakasala man - so unsaon pagakaluwas ana?

If naa teaching sa Ginoo nga maka produce ug Erroneous nga Scenario OR if naay scenario sa iyang sugo nga pwedi masayop - Dili na gikan niya.

Now hatagi ko ug Erroneous Scenario sa kini nga pagtulon-an:
Faith alone can save you; unya ang tinuod nga pagtuo magbunga ug Good works.
