And when I am asked of what's nice in Cebu, I am always at a loss of words for I feel they have wrong expectations of what Cebu is. I want to be proud for Cebu but is there any other Cebu destinations/attractions to be proud of? Well, there are nice beaches in Cebu but one has to take a long drive to reach them. Such beaches are even common to many islands in the Phils, even nicer like the beaches in Boracay, Panglao, Palawan etc.

You may push for Plantation Bay, Imperial Palace, Shangri-la... come on, those are not Cebu! They are beautified parts of Cebu by private entities that are yearning for income! I dont think they are truly Cebu. Unlike other places as Japan for example where you'll experience breathtaking panoramas, well kept public parks, gardens and temples, and bustling business centers that are truly wonders to behold.

Hey, you are just pushing that issue coz you know you're losing ground. It's clear in my post that I didn't discount the simple wonders Cebu does have. I even said that I want to be proud for Cebu for I recognize the beaches in the north and south areas. It's just that its hard to justify Cebu as a top tourist destination as misconceived by many for it doesn't have much. It ain't difficult to understand, right? Or you're just being impossibly empty-jar headed...

Yes, I agree. Cebu needs rehabilitation!
And it needs people like us to recognize those things for improvement.

and since SRP is already earning. i hope nga ma hinay2x na ug ka rehabilitate atong streets intawon then i really really hope nga naa nay mass transport system gyud ang cebu.

    hehe.medyo OT .sowi.

after nako mag swiming...mag dinner ko sa MR A's

    Any better? Sounds so ordinary.

What's so amazing in Casa Gorordo, Magellan's Cross, Fort San Pedro? If those attractions manage to have a spark of amazement, they all fizzle when a tourist sees those eye soars around those attractions. Hopefully, you'll not get comments like "Mao ra to?" And what so special with SUTUKIL? One can have it in other places... nagkatag na ang SUTUKIL sa pinas... therefore, its becoming ordinary.

And if the tourist go swimming in Imperial Palace in the morning, I'm sure they'd want to stay there the whole day. Going 'round the city is just a hassle.

And Mr. A... its only nice because its overlooking the city... but I rather go to Tops nlang.

Murag ok2x pa ng CPDRC dancing inmates.

Sowi but I cannot conclude a "wow" there.

And where's your beach and nature tripping?
Well, I expect moingon na pud na depende... depende... depende... pagchure oi.

I'm talking about mactan island converted into a haven of amusement parks, killer roller coaster rides, 24/7 mega casinos and whathaveyou other than the resorts we already have. Plus subway stations, MRTs, organized public transpo, and a complete overhaul on the roads - you can't just call Colon Street the oldest street ever if it doesn't look "old" enough. Lets dig deep until we find the original cobblestones and put them all back piece by piece.
    Yes, that's it. Recognize people!

And we have to work and take part in Cebu's development. Let's have to knock on the door of everyone who can make a difference. Let's wake them up and say hey you're still dreaming. Cebu aint the best. We'll make it the best! That's what I intend this thread to be. Hopefully, there are individuals here close to mayor or the gov or anyone who can make a difference.

sir.. as a tourist.. dili man panindotai sa imo intenirary... its how u enjoy your trip
example... sa mga taga macau sight ranang bung2x diha sa saint paul ruin.. pero sa tourist.. daghan ganahan mo bisita para pa picture ug mo tan aw sa museum sa ilawm

from singapore (singaporean or other nationalities)...
daghan mo adto johor aron mag pa rebond
daghan mo adto batam para mag pa masahe
daghan mo adto bintan aron mag relax

sa tagalog pa "kanya kanyang trip yan"

Oh com' on... accept it. What's so nice in Magellan's Cross? 10 mins picture2x pang-fb mao ra... hadlok pa ka gamit sa imong camfon or digicam kay isnatch unya... Adto pud ug Fort San Pedro... poorly restored pud... nindot unta ug historical value saun walay aesthetic value... nagbayad2x pag entrance.

If we'll offer something for others, we'll have to make it the best! Top Tourist Destination man kaha...

Have me deported out of Cebu, bai!
