"I can understand them trying to restore some order to the parade. However, they are doing it the wrong way. Who ever made the rules is not sensitive or lack the knowledge of being an event photographer. Then they try to make more money by using the participants who paid to join the event to help them wear the vest with a major sponsor. This is sad. Rule number 2 mentions about disruption, solemn events etc. Yet they do not hesitate to use this event to make money as much as they can and commercialize the event. Where does all the money go?

If you want to send them a message, don't pay to take pictures. You can always be in along the route and take pictures as a spectator. If there is drop in the photo revenue, I am sure their attitude will dramatically change.

that is why were not joining anymore. we're hoping na some will also start to boycott the event to show them that we cannot be used this way peace

whats the use of joining the photocontest? para mu-wear sa canon na vest?

para makalakaw-lakaw ta sa gawas sa parade with a cool i.d.? we can do that without paying man d bah?

how do you take your shoots from the sides? mura ra wala ta mubayad kai makashoot ra japon ta sa sides. di pa kuyaw maulawan na syagitan ka sa mga hambogero na deputized "tigbantay" "HOY! HAWA DIHA. EMBARGUHON KO NA IMO I.D. KARON BUANGA KA!"

how can you compete against "priveledged" photographers who shoots inside the stadium when the tribes are practicing so they ALWAYS get the wining shots by themselves?

kai di lage ta kaduol so okay na lang ba na we can submit 10 prints na gikan sa ato 70-300 gikuha nya di kaayu sharp? naa kaha tay chance bisan kasulod man lang sa top 20?

so what's the f__king use of joining the photocontest if di ka maningkamot na makadaug?

i know, sa mga newbies and to those wala pa jud nicompete to win sa sinulog photocontest - this is not so much of a deal. i competed before so i had to get that shot. im sure there are more reasons if mucomment diri to mga tang-an na cebu photographers. likewise, i hope kini ako mga bad predictions di mahitabo to any photographer during sa sinulog
