Blade 2 Rocks!!!
Anyway, to see how I wish the X-men trilogy should have been been, please download the first 12 issues or so of ULTIMATE X-MEN by Mark Millar and Andy Kubert.
Ultimate X-men is a reboot of the franchise, as if the story began yesterday instead of 1963 (it exists outside of current Marvel continuity, on a univers of its own). It's just an awesome, awesome and way cool series.
If Bryan Singer needed a reference on how to adapt the X-books, this series is it.
It updates and retools the concepts of 1963 without trampling on the core essence of the classic series.
My main gripes about the X-men Trilogy:
It completely, terribly gets the back stories and personalities of so many of the characters so damn wrong that they should have just changed the names of the characters.
For example - CYCLOPS. Here is a character who was the soul of the X-men. Xavier's right hand man and even apologist. He was the team's field commander, sort of like the Lietenant of a platoon, who doesn't flinch, who is always THE LEADER, who puts duty and responsibility above everything else. In the movie, he's a jock with cool shades and a Harley. And a real dick.
Storm - Ororo Munroe was once regarded as a Goddess in AFRICA. What the **** happened to her African Accent? It was there in part one, as should have been her superiority complex. Think of her as an African Wonder Woman.
Juggernaut. Cain Marko is Charles Xaviers stepbrother. In the movie, they don't even exchange a passing glance. Not even a "what's up bro?"
And the worst - WOLVERINE. Wolverine is an asshole in the books, and he's everyone's favorite asshole. Hugh Jackman is playing him as a kindhearted Clint Eastwood instead of as a man-beast. To see how I would have liked Wolverine to have been portrayed, watch the TV show LOST and check out the character of Sawyer. Not THAT'S how Wolverine is in the comics, and that's how he should've been done in the books.
Kudos however to the portrayals of Xavier, Magneto (Ian Mckellen is an acting God!) and especially Beast by Kelsey Grammer. In the books, Beast is a pompous know-it-all, just like Frasier. Perfect!
its possible that cyclops never died in the movie cause di pinakita na namatay cya. a possible storyline for x4. cyclops was save by mr. sinister.
cyclops was based on the time after the dark phoenix saga when he was down and had to leave the xmen. just in case anyone is wondering cyclops died at during the twelve cross-over and the age of apocalypse (havok killed him).
I salute you guys... you know your X MEN like the palm of your hand.. two thumbs-up
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
regarding storm accent. actually not all african have accents. here in New Zealand there are people from africa but can speak english perfectly, without any accent.
