Robert Kirkman has confirmed that it won't be a summer release. AMC is heading for a fall release, likely in October for the 13 new episodes of Walking Dead Season 2.

While some fans may still be upset that they’ll have to wait until October for the next installment of The Walking Dead, they can take solace in knowing that the lengthy delay between seasons is being taken advantage of to further evolve an already amazing series.

I'm okay with the longer wait, but Season 2 better be amazingly good.
