Penny Hardaway is a natural point guard and was once touted to be the next Magic Johnson, but didn't turn out to be anybody near Magic's caliber. he's a tall point guard so he can create a lot of mismatches and if needed he can also play the 2 spot ocassionally, but I do believe he's more comfortable playing point

At 36 years old and being out of the NBA for some time, Penny Hardaway is no longer the Penny Hardaway that he used to be, not even close to his Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks performances, plus his arthritic knees might hurt him a bit. He could be the 3rd point guard option for Miami behind Jason Williams and Smush Parker, but his experience and maturity will be a big help especially for younger guards Parker and Charlie Bell.

For the first time in his NBA career, Penny Hardaway will not be wearing the number 1 jersey. He'll wear number 7 for the Heat.

Reuniting with former teammate and long time friend Shaquille O'Neal is not a bad way to end a career.
