In addition, the hardest part of your hand are the knuckles. When rolling, there's almost 100% chance na matukod pud ang knuckles. Which is why these gloves also come with knuckle protection. I already have two holes on my left knuckle. I would have had a third one otherwise, but I was wearing this:

    Knee/Shin Guards

Knee/shin guards are typically made of plastic, and can reduce the chances of breaking your bones in the same manner. It may not be enough to protect you from a 100KPH head-on collision, but it will reduce your chances of serious injury. When you slide on your knees (which happens almost all the time), there's a chance that you hit a bump on the road while sliding (rock or pavement imperfection). With enough speed, that small bump can scrape your patella (knee cap) off your knee. With knee guards, there's an increased chance you make it through that bump without leaving your patella.

My Fox Knee and Shin Guards (in that picture) is also hard enough to take a full swing of a baseball bat without breaking. I think.

So apart from its ability to widely protect you from road rash, it can increase your chances of walking away from the accident.

    Same with elbow guards.

    Body Armors / Vests

This is not debatable. It's a no-brainer. This is an essential piece of safety equipment even in collisions with other vehicles. Of course, in accidents where it won't matter, it won't. I'm just saying, in all crashes where you can possibly break ribs, or worse, your spine, you would wish to have this on all the time.

    What's worse than death? Paralysis.

(Forgive the swashbucklingness, I don't have many selfies wearing the armors )

I had a coworker na na-paralyze from the waist down, following a motorcycle crash. It could have been prevented if he wore extra safety gears. Sayang kaayo. Imagine being paralyzed, with a family relying on you. That's my worst nightmare.

    @Ryan Tan Yu

Or even broken bones!

The best prevention is defensive driving ra gyud. All those are merely for support purposes only.
Had a head on collision with a biker counterflowing in up lahug area. For humanitarian purpose gipadaug siya sa sketch but civily liable sya sa damage sa ako vehicle.
In short, nabuhi sya with pangus, ako nagbayad sa iya hospital bill but he needs to pay me 40k + for the damages he caused. And i was about to charge him my daily taxi expenses in going to work kay with my car in the casa, i need to commute. But my conscience is telling me its too much. But legally i am able to do that.

Important reminder: even if daug ka sa sketch sa enforcers, you cannot run from your liability for damages bisan if ang 2 wheelers have higher humanitarian rights. And most especially if imong nabanggaan lawyer.

KNEE Guard = pwerte gubaa. if wala pa to im sure pungkol na ko ron.
FULL GLOVES with guards jud = wala kasugakod sa impact. way pangos pero bali jud ang 2 wrists
Full face HELMET most important!

Don't get me wrong diay, dili ko anti safety gears hap. Hehe ang ako lang gyud point limited ra jud ang protection to cheat death basta sa public road mahitabo ang crash/accident, compare sa controlled environment like race tracks.

Hinuon zero pa gihapon ko ani, since 1989 of riding mc. Ka luoy sa dios....
