    mga brad...

pwede ba na usa ra imo DHCP server pero naa ka multiple VLANs/Subnets? pareha ani:

    VLAN 1 = 10.69.0.0/24
    VLAN 2 = 10.69.1.0/24
    VLAN 3 = 10.69.2.0/24

Unsaon pag setup ana? Any explainations will be much appreciated...

    YESSSSS!!! Kaau brad.

Think the dot in a center of a circle or HUB or Switch that distributes the network connection...

So, If you can imagine, do it like that situation wherein, (since) the 3 VLANs you have proposed maka-leased ug mga different subnets accordingly, so, kinahanglan jud naa kay 3 sa ka mga NICs within sa imong DHCP Server. Then, configure your DHCP Server to listen sa tagsa-tagsa ka mga NIC with each subnets nga imong gi-assigned sa tagsa-tagsa ka mga NICs.

Then, connect all the cables to a single L2/L3 CISCO switch then configure a VLAN. and that's it!! Ing-ana ra na ka-simple bro.

Hope this could help you out sa imong project.

Bro, think of the precious glass you have. -You can't suddenly release the glass down, right? or it might be spoiled. You must have a proper procedure before releasing it from your hand.

    by summary here's the steps:
    1. don't touch anything on that DC that holds the Schema to the DC Infra yet. or whatever Roles that Server1 might have.
    2. first things first, you must have to promote and join the server3 to the existing Domain.
    3. once the new machine has successfully joined without logging any error related to the promotion of Server3 in the eventviewer, you can now start moving the Role to the new machine.
    4. (?-decision making-) here, decide whether you really want to decommission your Server1 machine or leave it as it is as a standby Server.
Question? how many Roles does your Server1 have?
-if all of them in one machine then move all roles to the new machine(Server3), leaving none from your old Server1 including DNS and others, then proceed to the decision making process before decomissioning because, your old Server1 could be recycle according to your needs. So, make a proper decision plan.

    2. kung ang server3 mahimo nang primary domain dili maapektohan ang mga policies and securities ky win2008 man ang new primary DC then ang rest ky win2k3 child DC?
Not of course, windows 2003 is the predecessor of windows 2008, from the nutshell, all of the policies will be retained since windows 2008 is the upgrade version of 2003. Though, some of the new policies may not be compatible with windows 2003 but all policies from windows 2003 i believe all are compatible, meaing windows 2008 is backward compatibility, so, ther's nothing to worry.

    3. win2008 and win2k3 DC ok ra ba mka replicate ba sila each other wla bay mga securities and policies issues?
New features like some of the policies, applications, services, etc. may not be compatible with windows 2003, however, in managing the forest level you MUST have to consider that OLDEST version should be the preferences. You can not put all your forest to 2008 level unless ther's 1 old version of windows server, so, mo-adopt jud ang windows 2008 sa windows 2003 or else you might get a major problem to your infrastructue.

pls share sa nka suway ani nga scenario

If you are using Win2K3, both DCs are equal. There's no primary or secondary...that only holds true during Windows NT era.

Just add a Windows 2008 DC, move the FSMO role from one of the old DC to Win2008 and then upgrade to Win2008.

router/switch na appliances are not affected by how many number of users, instead of 'how fast your internet connection is?'

pero if you are talking about the intranet, all router/switch na appliances (regardless sa brand) (all) are capable of course, why? because they built according to that specifications.

Create your scope(multi) sa DHCP Server (assuming g enable nimo ang DHCP services)
DHCP Server's IP = ip helper sa interface sa VLAN
