hello everyone.. i'm a newbie ani nga thread and newbie pod sa pag-alaga sa bag-ong panganak nga dog. my shihtzu poddle (named Roxee) gave birth to 6 puppies just this morning.. i really need your help kung unsaon ni namo pag-alaga sila. dapat ba nako tangtangon ang puppies or ikuyog ra sa mommy nila? wa gyud ko khibaw unsaon ni. help

@shade you have to clarify with the breeder/seller the extent of the co-ownership sa dogs. if you are talking about the akita pups being sold at a co-own agreement, you have to be very clear on how far the rights of the breeder sa dogs.

i know of two basic variations of co-ownership:

1) co-own on paper only - meaning, breeder sold his pups to you, you bring home the dog, you spend for all the necessities including breeding later, but since duha mo ang reflected owners sa papers, he will also sign sa litter registration. now, if he has objections sa sire nimo nga gigamit (or dam as the case may be), he has the right to say no or refuse to sign the papers. effectively, you will need his approval on all things affecting the dog.

2) co-own on papers and in litter - both the co-owners share on the expenses and later on share on the litter s produced out of that dog.

if you are thinking of that for sale na akita, i think its the first kind. the breeder, being a known breeder, just want to make sure that his/her dogs will not be used indiscriminately.

usually dapat naay contract para fair and clear sa both parties.
usually pod ang immediate "remedy" anang cases kay dili man dayun sue2x LOL
usual remedy ana kay rescind ang contract, meaning back to the situation mo before the sale was done.
balik sa breeder/former owner ang dog, with or without refund sa money sa buyer... depende na sa contract.

@leonardo. sa ako lng . even though how much a person justifies he/she is a dog lover doesnt mean he/she should own one kung wala na cya budget. just like us they need a lot of requirements. it doesnt simply mean nga u feed and give them water ok na cla...

gasto gyd na ang mag dog
so kung medyo tight inyo budget ako ma advice ayaw mu pag dogs

they need permuim dog foods
a good place 2 stay
fresh water every day
vitamins and supplements
deworming
vaccination
anti heartworms
tick and flea shampoo
a good brush
and a whole lot more..

even with the said above imu gas2 wont stop there. NOt like us they dont have MEDICAL INSURANCE^^
believe me in a lot of cases dako ayo gas2 atong mga dogs kung ma hospital.

mau na ONE of the reason why not all people should own dogs.

breeding is very expensive. raising a puppy is very expensive. and if ako ang breeder i always make sure na ang puppy is in good hands like if mag kasakit dapat maka afford gyud ang new owner na mo pa vet. then dapat ka afford sad sya mo buy og maayo na pagkaon. so i think mao na ang reason sa uban breeder na mahalon nila pag sell kay if you cant afford to buy it then for sure you cant afford to raise it. then ila pud i protect ang ila kennel name kay unsaon nalang if ang puppy wala maayo pag raise then na belong to sya from a reputable breeder then ang mga cretic mo ingon dayon "abi nako from a good breeder ni ngano ingon ani man lagi ni og nawong?". then not all people selling here are expensive man pud. some are very affordable. then if you want to adopt you can go to dog pounds. daghan kaayo mga nindot na iro didto na pede nimo i rescue.
