Dixoy@ try testing your orion amp and compare it to the 1507 which sounds better
try setting them to full range and use your active crossover set it to high-pass. or you can try the built-in crossover of your your amps.

nice amp 800rms but power hungry ... good for subs ... is this the one with chips inside? if yes the chip/s inside acts as crossover (just set the jumpers)

I have used an orion amp with DLS magnesium speakers before and they sounded very well. You should try this amp for seps and not sub. assuming that it is multi-channel.
