Apple sold 270,000 iphones in the first 30 hours....
The activation problem that APPLE had encountered was already anticipated. It has never been done before, 100k++ phones and people have activated in one day, for APPLE and AT&T it must have been as the saying goes and goes "Charge to experince". There hasn't been a breakout that other mobile phone brands has activated 100k more phones in 30 hours..
The big question is... can apple imitate their success on the Iphone, once it hits the European shores... Europeans I've heard are not much into American products (some EUs even despises and hates american made products) .. sort of imaginary animosity especially when they know its made or developed in US of A...
I hate to think lang nya that iphone might be branded.. as a "jack of all trade, master of none" phone.. a fad of a phone released now.. gone tomorrow..
The cupertino base company shouldnt sit on their fat laurels still.. Globally the Iphone has yet to penetrate every borders and corners in the world...
American revenues are simply nothing when the Global Revenues comes in.. and mag depende nalang na if people around the world (including countries that hates the US e.g. China, North Korea, Iran etc..) would embrace this Uncle sam phone... it's either a hit or a miss thing... siimply put it.
for me, the long wait on whether the Iphone has garnered their biggest revenues is far from over... it is yet to be decided on the battlefields in the Global Market whether it competes or bows down and fades from existence.
The only asnwer to that is to sit and wait.. That's the most exciting part, you cant have a little adventure with you're not into risking.. but hey, business is all about risking and gambling..
some body have it?? i really curious this phone..
It's so cool.
Kaso, other major phone manufacturer might do new products like the Iphone before on the 1st quarter of 2008.
Cheaper and with the newest telecom technology pa jud like 3G and DBVH (Digital Broadcast Video-Handset).
I think Smart Communications company already introduces DBVH here in the Philippines.
It would be very impressive and techy if soon it would have those technologies.
I don't have it but I was able to play with it, officemate got her's from his husband working at apple for FREE!
Here' in the US (at least here in bay area -northern california), must of the offices or cafe/restuarant/hotels has wifi, and browsing with this phone is really cool... (basta lang naka wifi para pas2x)...
oh btw, I used k800 to take the pics... :P lolz...
